Ahane GAA Club would like to congratulate the Limerick U21 Hurling squad and management on their fantastic U21 All Ireland Final success in Thurles yesterday.  In front of a crowd of over 15,000 and roared on by a large Limerick following, the Limerick U21 Hurlers dominated the match and ran out dererved winners on a scoreline of Limerick 0-17 : Kilkenny 0-11. 

The team was led by our own Tom Morrisey and we would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Tom on this great achievement and it was a great occasion for Tom, his family and for Ahane GAA Club.   We look forward to seeing Tom bringing the James Nowlan Cup to Mackey Park and to the schools in the parish.  A big thank you to Tom (and all the U21 hurlers) for your time after the match in celebrating on the field with the many Ahane GAA fans at the game and especially the Bord na nOg members in taking photos, signing hurleys, jerseys and lots of other items.  Well Done Tom : ATHÁIN AGUS LUIMNEACH ABÚ!!
