Ahane GAA : Weekly Notes 11th September 2017

Senior Hurling : Our Senior hurlers returned to training last week to prepare for their upcoming Senior County Cup Semifinal against Cappamore which is fixed for Caherconlish on Sunday next 17th at 12 noon.  Ahane would like to ask all our supporters to please come along to support our Senior Hurling team in Caherconlish.  Ahane's Main Sponsor is Munster Tree Surgeons and we would encourage our members to support Martin Haugh of Munster Tree Surgeons wherever possible.

New Additional Facilities / Dressing Rooms Project  :  The construction of our 2 new dressing rooms project is well underway with local builder and former Ahane senior corner back Donal O Sullivan appointed. The new dressing rooms will add much needed facilities to our clubhouse. More about our new project can be found at www.ahanegaa.ie/about under the heading of "Loan share scheme".

Junior Football : The Junior Football team had a great win on Sunday last when they were victorious over South Liberties in the East Junior Football Semi-Final. The players and squad put in a great effort over the course of the game and won on a score-line of 2-08 to 3-03. The team played a lovely brand of football but it was the high level of work rate, commitment and support to each other that ensured the team got through to the East Junior Championship Final. The final will be against Kilteely - date and venue to be confirmed. A big thank you to our supporters who came out tonight to roar the team on - it made a huge difference and the players and management made particular reference to the support after the game : see you all at the East Final.
