The Ahane U8 and U10 groups held a hugely entertaining hurling blitz in Mackey Park yesterday where visiting teams from Newtownshandrum, Doon, Kilmallock and Newport joined the Ahane teams in a festival of hurling. There was plenty of skill and commitment shown by the young U8 and U10 players with some fine scores and fast and open hurling. A big thank you to all the parents and everyone that helped to ensure a super day for the young players - to those that provided a fantastic array of food, those that helped with tea/coffee and drinks, traffic stewards, referees and to everyone that supported and assisted. There was such generous support from everyone that we were able to provide an array of food to McGarry House after the game which was very much appreciated. Thanks to all. Athain Abú.
