Ahane U21 hurlers played out a league of 1v1 games over the last couple of months in Bohermore Ball Alley. Players have played 20+ games over the period, with points accumulated over the course and vigilantly tracked by manager Ollie Moran - leading to the top 8 challengers playing off this evening. With highly sought after Elvery sports vouchers at stake, the the competition was high and gamesmanship even higher throughout amongst the lads competing.

Ronan Fox won his way to the final, beating Padraig Harnett and William Brennan in two classic games, by both by a solitary point. Adam O'Brien also deservingly progressed to the final. Showing all the deft touches of quality keeper, he disposed of Dan Minihan and Gearoid Harnett en route in what were also close games to the end.

The final lived up to expectations, going right down to the wire. After some quality hurling from both players, it was Adam who eventually came out on top by a solitary point, winning 21-20. This was the third game in succession where Ronan brought the game to a final score, but this Adam prevailed here and certainly proved a worthy winner claiming the winning prize presented by Ollie Moran.

Well done Adam O'Brien - 2018 Ball Alley champion!
