Tom Meskell Tournament

Ahane and O’Callaghan’s Mills contested the final of the inaugural Tom Meskell tournament held in Newgarden last weekend.

Two keenly contested semi-finals on Saturday saw Ahane and “The ‘Mill’s” progress to Sunday’s final at the expense of Ardrahan and Smith O’Brien’s. The final itself was a close affair throughout and the Clare men eventually overcame a youthful Ahane challenge by the narrowest of margins, winning 2-12 to 0-17.

Mrs. Meskell herself proudly presented the honours including the perpetual Cup and medals to the O’Callaghan’s Mills club.

Special thanks to all who attended and helped out, and certainly made what was a very enjoyable and memorable weekend for the Meskell family and the Ahane club alike.
