Ahane U14 Feile Football.  The football team had an away trip to Crecora on Monday evening (19th March) to take on a strong Kilpeacon side in their second game of the Feile campaign.  There was nothing between the two teams in the first half in what was a low scoring but highly entertaining and competitive opening to the match.  The Ahane players headed in ahead at the break by the minimum of margins.  Kilpeacon started the second half in a very determined fashion and went ahead by a point early in the half.  The Ahane players, who were roared on by parents and supporters who travelled to Crecora, continued to raise the level of intensity and with a lot of skill, commitment and teamwork scored 2-3 without reply in what was an excellent effort from the 17 players on the day to take a fine win.  Well done to Colm, Craig, Stephen, Kyle, Dylan, Danny, Jack, Sean, Ruairi, John, Kieran, David, Jonah, Will, Adam, Nathan and Paddy who all played their part in a convincing team display.  Thank you to Kilpeacon for a super game of football and for the warm welcome in Crecora.  The Ahane mentors were delighted with the team effort so early in the season and we are looking forward to an exciting football season ahead over the coming months.
