Welcome to our new members.

At Ahane GAA, we are proud of our heritage and look forward to the exciting future of our club.  Ahane Bórd na nÓg extends a warm and hearty céad mile fáilte to our new U6 recruits who have recently joined Ahane GAA. Under the mentorship of Paul, Gina, Mary, John, Paidí and Brendan training takes place on Tuesday evenings in St. Vincent’s Centre, Lisnagry from 5-6pm. It is not unusual to see to see 30 eager, excited and enthusiastic boys and girls wielding hurleys at each session while enjoying the banter and chit-chat!

The emphasis at training for our U6’s is on having fun and getting to know the basics of the sport, learning all the basic skills, co-ordination and so on. Once the weather improves training will relocate to Lisnagry National School. As well as the sporting aspect of training, the boys and girls really love the social aspect of getting together at training. The benefits of GAA for children at Ahane GAA Club are tremendous – it's a prescription for healthy living!

2018 promises to be another exciting year for Ahane Bórd na nÓg. Among the sports events taking place, we’ll be busy as ever with our Cúl Camp, Family Fun Day and lots, lots more. These were all great successes last year and we expect this year to be even better again. Watch this space!

We are always on the lookout for new members to join our teams and welcome members from far and wide. If you are interested in joining please contact Gina Hourigan on 087-2204600.
