Ahane Senior Hurlers – Championship    

The lads overcame East neighbours Cappamore in Caherconlish last Saturday evening in a keenly contested decider. Cappamore went in ahead at half time having played with the breeze in a low scoring half where defences appeared on top and space was at a premium.

The game continued in much the same vein in the second half with tit for tat scoring as the game progressed. Indeed Ahane only drew level as the game approached the hour mark. Having out scored our opponents by 5 point to 0 in the latter stages, mainly through Tom Morrissey and sub Johnny Fox, Ahane did enough and clawed ahead to duly claimed their first win and 2 points of the campaign.
