Ahane make it 3 on the bounce 

Ahane’s Junior A Hurling team made it 3 wins out of 3 in the East League on Sunday evening 29th May with a hugely impressive away performance against a very resilient Kilteely/Dromkeen team, running out winners in the end on a scoreline of 1-19 to 0-15. 

In a very tough and tenacious 1st half Ahane found it tough to stay in touch with an impressive Kilteely/Dromkeen team early on as Kilteely went 6pts to 2 up, however Ahane dug deep, especially in defence and with a couple of excellent points late in the 1st half, Ahane went in just 3pts down on a scoreline of 10pts to 7. 

Ahane really opened up in the 2nd half as their work rate went through the roof and coupled with some excellent scores from Ollie Moran, Tom Doheny, William Brennan and Andrew Minehan they took control of the game and then Tommy Clifford went on a mazy run to bury a fabulous goal which put Ahane in the driving seat and allowed them to see out the game quite comfortably in the end. 

A really tremendous 2nd half with excellent work rate and honestly and doing the simple things well was what brought about this great turnabout and hopefully Ahane can continue this fine run as they welcome Caherline to Mackey Park on Friday evening next 4th May at 7.15pm where a win could possibly see Ahane into the East Final.
