On another glorious Sunday afternoon, a perfect day to play a League Final. Ahane and Kileedy having come through their semi finals met each other today in Ballingarry to play a great game of camogie. The game was tit for tat for the whole sixty minutes and the teams were level on four occasions. Scores came from Niamh Mulcahy, both from frees and from play, Aisling Herbert, and Noreen Flanagan in the first half. Our defensive lines were under pressure throughout the game but managed to hold Kileedy goalless for the game. Great preformances from Rose, Eileen, and Nora Collins, Kate Herbert, Judith Mulcahy, and Sarah Crotty in the defence were as good as scores for the team moral. Ahane went in 8 points to 7 up at half time.

Kileedy never gave up and much like Ahane's semi final against Newcastle West, they had to fight for every ball and every score but Ahane never gave up. Again Niamh Mulcahy was accurate from play as was Orla Curtin, and Aine Reynolds, Ahane finished strongly and went on to win the game by a three point margin on a score line of 0-15 to 0-12.

On behalf of Ahane Camogie we would like to thank our great sponors, Herbert's who welcomed the girls back for celebrations on Sunday evening. We would also like to thank everyone who came out and supported the girls in the final and throughout their league campaign.
