Congratulations to Ahane U16 ladies footballers who were crowned County Football Champions following their victory over Adare in Monaleen on Sunday 9th September. The girls played super football to add this championship title to the league title they won earlier this year.

Ahane were first out of the blocks in the first half with a fine goal early on to settle the girls in what was to become a convincing and dominant performance all over the field for the duration of the match.   Untiring running from our midfielders and forwards and some fine point taking and goal scoring at key stages helped the girls progress with a convincing and impressive win. This super group of players continue to show improvement at every match displaying fantastic football skills and outstanding teamwork in the Ahane jersey.  Great credit is due to the players for their unquestionable commitment throughout the season.  

Getting to a county final is a dedicated task from coaches and players. Well done to coaches Breda Aherne, Maeve Herbert & Gearóid Hussey for their continued commitment to this group of players.
