All four Junior Infants classes in Ahane ,Castleconnell and Lisnagry NS received a very welcome visitor recently when Limerick Senior Star Dan Morrissey arrived in with a surprise guest- none other than Ahane U6 Mascot Spud Óg .All four Junior classes were delighted to receive their own Replica Spud Óg courtesy of Ahane GAA Club .Dan fielded a range of questions from the curious scholars including why he had a bandage on his nose to did he currently have a girlfriend !Dan announced to the kids that training for the 6s continues every Tuesday evening from 5.45pm to 6.30pm at Lisnagry NS School Hall.All boys and girls in the parish born in 2011 and 2012 are invited to come up and become a Spud Óg !
