The U12 group had a very enjoyable and novel hurling and football challenge game against our close neighbours Murroe/Boher last evening who hosted the games. In preparation for the upcoming league, the teams participated in a 25 minute game of football followed by a 25 minute game of hurling with a short break between games.

The games were very evenly contested by the 15 players on both teams with Ahane coming out on top in the football and Murroe/ Boher taking the hurling win but there was nothing between the 2 evenly matched teams in both codes.

A big thank you to Ollie Foley and Murroe/Boher for the invitation and for arranging the combined evening of GAA games. Thanks also to Ollie who acted as referee in both games and let the matches flow ensuring that both teams got a spirited runout ahead of the league games. 

The U12 Football league commences on Thursday next 27th April with the U12 Hurling League starting one week later on 04th May.
