The U10 Hurling Mentors were delighted to have an Ahane man - Pat Culhane take the training session this evening.  Pat is the GAA National Development Officer.  The players really enjoyed having Pat lead the session and put in a super effort over the course of the 1 and a half hours training and the Mentors this evening, Liam, Brendan, Gina, Michael and David were thrilled to have the great support of Pat.  There is a story told that it was 1987 when Pat played his first game of hurling in Mackey Park, Ahane; the day before he made his First Communion at Lisnagry N.S. and the next day he bought his first helmet from the proceeds and that was the start of his love for GAA.  A big thank you to Pat from all in Ahane GAA for his excellent support to the Club and we wish him continued success in his role as GAA National Development Officer.
