The Ahane U14 Group have had a busy week with 4 games played in the Feile Football and Hurling competitions.

On Sunday evening last, the football team had an away win over St. Patricks in the Feile competition after a super display of football in their first game of the season.

On Tuesday, the hurlers played Caherline under lights in UL.  The 2 teams could not be separated with the Ahane players finishing strongly to level the game 6-02 to 6-02.  The replay was fixed for yesterday (Saturday) in Old Christians with the Ahane players turning in a much better performance to claim a 4-03 to 0-4 win.  A great team effort by all the players : Cathal, Stephen, Gavin, Donnacha, Colm, Ciaran, Darragh, David, Conor, Sean, Jack, Will, John, Kieran, Kyle and James.

The players had to face an away hurling match against Patrickswell earlier today and put in another huge effort to come out on top and claim a fine win on a score of 5-03 to 2-02.  Well done to Tony, Cathal, Stephen, Donnacha, Colm, Jack, James O'M, David, Craig, Will, Kieran, Kyle, Darragh, Conor, Harry, Cian and Ciaran.

A very busy week for the squad of footballers and hurlers and a special thank you to some of the U12 players who supported in the games.  Keep up the great start to the season!!!

Next up for the U14 group is an away Football Feile match against Kilpeacon on Sunday next 04th March followed by a home U14 Hurling Feile match against Cappamore on Sunday 11th March.
