Ahane Senior Hurlers came out on top in this very open and highly entertaining ACHL V Kilmallock on Tuesday eve 26 June in Kilmallock.

Ahane started much the brighter and set the tone very early on with a well taken goal from William Shanahan. The trend continued as Ahane raced into a 1-06 to 0-3 lead and by half time had extended the lead to 1-09 to 0-05 with points from Niall Moran, Mike Carr, Ciarán O Mara, John Fox and Paul O Halloran. 

Kilmallock started quickest in the 2nd half and rattled off 4 quick points, but Ahane kept their cool and continued to trust in their game plan and slowly came back into it with 1-02 from Niall Moran and 3points from Mike Carr frees to win out in the end on a scoreline of 2-14 to 0-14. Top scorer in the night was Niall Moran with 1-05.
