Ahane played Murroe/Boher in round 5 of the championship on Saturday evening last in Caherelly. Ahane needed a win to ensure they made a playoff and buoyed by that knowledge, they started lively to lead by 0-14 to 0-05 points at the beak having played some delightful hurling in the fast conditions. The second half continued in the same vein with Ahane dominating most of the exchanges.

No fewer than 9 different players registered their names on the scoreboard, with Enda Carroll bagging the only goal on the night following a great team move. Final score ended in a comfortable 1-25 to 0-07 win for Ahane. Well done to all involved on the night.
