Ahane Junior Hurlers

The lads were knocked out of this year’s championship by Doon last Thursday evening in Cappamore. Ahane needed to win to ensure qualification to the semi-finals and went at the game from the start. The game was highly competitive with some good spells of hurling and scores from both sides. One of the Doon men saw red mid-way through the first half which should have aided Ahane’s cause but Ahane failed to capitalise sufficiently. Despite the game being quite close throughout, Doon eventually ran out comfortable winners by 2-21 to 0-17 points.

Well done to all the players and management for the work and progress this year. Hopefully they will push on further next year and contest honours come years end.
