RTE visit Ahane Club for “Up for the Match” All-Ireland Programme
We had the great honour of being picked by RTE as the Limerick club covered for their “Up for the Match” programme in advance of the All-Ireland Final. The programme, to be aired on the 18th, is one of the highlights of each All-Ireland Final weekend for all GAA supporters throughout the country, and of course we have added interest this year with Limerick having reached the final.
The RTE crew arrived to a very warm welcome from the hundreds of kids and parents that showed up decked out head-to-toe in the green of Limerick, showing their tremendous support for the Limerick team, while also extending the best of good wishes to the Ahane lads involved, Tom and Dan Morrissey.
The programme will show coverage recorded in Mackey Park, which must be said was looking splendid on the day – well done on all the mighty preparation work carried out by the club committee!
The morning included interviews, Limericks, games and cheering a plenty - all to be revealed on the 18th August!!
Thanks and well done to all who showed up on the day and helped portray our proud club in such a positive light.
Luimneach agus Athain Abú!
