There is massive excitement and anticipation among the county ahead of Limericks first appearance in an All-Ireland Hurling final since 2007. In Ahane we also have the huge honour of having two players involved. This has all added to a heightened interest from supporters in the Ahane parish, and around the county, looking to attend the match.
Each club is granted an allocation by the county board and certainly, on the back of Limerick's recent success, the demand for tickets has greatly outweighed the supply, especially in Ahane. The club has received its first ticket allocation and are hopeful of receiving a further allocation over the coming days.
The club officers are meeting to allocate tickets to the membership which will not be an easy process. We will endeavour to meet the members' requirements to the best of our abilities however a draw system may be required given that the demand has substantially exceeded the supply.
We will update further over the coming days when the full allocation of tickets are received. Thank you for your patience.
