Participating teams were:

U10 Blitz
· Ahane

· Sixmilebridge
U12 Blitz

It was a great celebration of hurling today in memory of Tom Blake with great work rate and incredible scoring prevailing in all the games. Congratulations to the recipients of the Tom Blake Memorial Cup Murroe-Boher who ran out worthy winners of the U12 blitz defeating Silvermines in a hotly contested final. Well done to their captain Conor Barry (pictured) and all his team mates. Well done also to Murroe-Boher man Conor Sheridan who was awarded the title Player of the Tournament. Congratulations also to Ballina who overcame Ahane in the shield final by a single point in what was an entertaining and thrilling match.
A very special mention to all the parents for your support in making today a great success. Events like today take a lot of planning and organisation. With so many visiting teams, it was a huge task to pull off such a well-run tournament. Thank you to everyone who helped out with pitch preparation, parking and refereeing. Great credit goes to Linda O’Mahony and all the mams for the super hospitality and refreshments provided for our visitors after each blitz. It was a sea of baked delights in our club house afterwards and it was refreshing to see all the boys mingle and bantering with their on –pitch opponents!
