Our winning streak continues! Our Under 16’s won their plate final tonight in Croagh against Tournafulla!

On a wet, cold, and windy evening in Croagh, Ahane took on Tournafulla in the Under 16 Plate Final. Ahane were first on the scoreboard with an Éle free in the 3rd minute making it Ahane 0-1 Tournafulla 0-0. Éle got her second score in the fourth minute, putting Ahane two points up. Ahane went three ahead when Fiona got her first point from play. Éle popped up again before half time to get two more points putting five between the teams at half time. Ahane 0-5 Tournafulla 0-0

The teams came out in the second half and Ahane were quickest out of the blocks with Fiona scoring her second point of the game putting six between the teams. Cliodhna got her name on the score sheet with a point in the 10th minute of the second half. Éle ended the game with six points to her name (2 from play 4 from frees). Tournafulla got their first score of the game in the second half. The game ended Ahane 0-9 Tournafulla 0-1

Both teams throughout both halves showed great skill and work rate. Some fine saves from both goalkeepers and some great pieces of out field play that show the future of Limerick Camogie is bright!

Well done to our girls on a fantastic win! For eight of our girls it was their second county medal in 48 hours 💚💛
