There was great excitement earlier this morning amongst the U10 group as all roads led to Mackey Park for a gathering of U10 players, mentors, parents and supporters ahead of the eagerly awaited trip to Galway. The group met at 0845 ahead of the 9am bus departure where we understand 32 players, 25 parents, 4 mentors were taking part in a quiz arranged by who else - Declan!!. A fun packed day has been planned for the group with the team taking part in the Sarsfield GAA Hurling Blitz followed by a visit to Turoe Pet Farm and Leisure Park.

Sarsfield GAA Club is a famous GAA Club in Galway which has had many great players over the years and has won numerous Galway, Connacht and All-Ireland Club titles. The Club is located in the parish of Bullaun, New Inn and Woodlawn in East Galway and the Ahane players will get to test their hurling skills at a club which has a long tradition in the fine art of hurling and who show warm hospitality to all teams and visitors.

The visit to Turoe Pet Farm promises to wrap up the fun-filled day with the children and adults getting the opportunity to see adorable farm animals, visit the nature trail , outdoor playgrounds as well as trying out the inflatable city indoor bouncing castles.

And the good news is that the players, mentors, parents and supporters will have an opportunity to chat about the fun enroute home on the bus later this evening. ALL THE VERY BEST AND WE KNOW THE U10 GROUP WILL HAVE A SUPER DAY OUT !!
