Ahane Junior Hurlers

Ahane’s first Junior hurling competitive fixture for 2019 was against Ballybricken on Sunday evening in Mackey Park. Given the league game doubled up as a Brian Butler Cup quarter final, there was plenty at stake for both sides in what turned out to be a hard fought game throughout. Despite a spirited display and showing patches of fine hurling we went in behind at the break, trailing 2-08 to 0-10. Unfortunately we were always chasing an organised and youthful Ballybricken side, who eventually won out on a final score of 3-14 to Ahane’s 1-15.
