On what is a busy weekend for hurling on the home front, both the senior and minor hurlers take to the field for championship action.

First up is the minor hurlers face Mungret this evening at 19:15 in Mungret (note earlier start time). The minors currently lie third in the table and a win this evening against a strong Mungret side would put them in a great position over the next few weeks ahead of remaining fixtures against Ballybrown and Na Piarsaigh. This side are playing a lovely brand of hurling and well worth a watch. Best of luck to the lads!

The seniors play their second game in 6 days when as they face Knockainey in Caherconlish at 3pm on Saturday 17th. Following the 2 point win over the Bouncers last Sunday evening, Davey Givens charges will be looking to add a third win in 4 games of the campaign against a Knockainey side that are never easily beaten. The seniors have shown faith in the Ahane youth with minors Padraig Harnett and Ronan Fox starting the last day, along with having many more minors on the bench. The experience of Dan and Tom Morrissey along with Ahane minor coach Niall Moran will hopefully give the lads the edge on Saturday.
