The 3rd annual U21 Ball Alley League reached its conclusion last Saturday afternoon in Bohermore Ball Alley.
Each player played 15 games over a 4 week period with a max 150 points on offer - the Top 8 then qualifying for quarter finals which were played on a knock-out basis.
The first semi final threw up quarter final winners Ciaran Barry v Andy Rowesome, with Ciaran coming out on top. Paudie Harnett and William Brennan then served up a classic, with Paudie edging out the last few points to earn a final spot. After a nervous start, Ciaran began to assume control of the final, but couldn’t shrug off the young pretender! The game was evenly poised at 19 all when 2 moments of genius from Paudie saw him claim the spoils. It was a fitting finale to an excellent competition this year, with standards noticeably higher across the board.
Well done to all who took part, and a massive word of thanks to Bohermore Handball Club who continue to offer us use of their fantastic facility.
