The senior league kicked off on Wednesday night as Ahane took on Cappamore.

Ahane started well and maintained their lead throughout the game. Scores in the first half came from Cliodhna Twomey, Niamh Brennan, Áine Reynolds, Shauna Darcy, and Ciara Keaveney. Áine and Ciara with the first half goals. Half time score Ahane 2-11 Cappamore 0-00.

The second half got underway, and Ahane started with points from Áine and Noreen Flanagan. Cappamore got their first point from a free and then got one from play. Noreen got Ahane’s third goal to which Cappamore responded with two points of their own. Áine Reynolds got Ahane’s fourth and final goal of the game. Cappamore got three more points before the full-time whistle. Ahane got more points from Niamh Brennan, and Shauna Darcy before the full-time whistle was blown. Full time score Ahane 4-19 Cappamore 0-07.

Ahane now welcome Crecora to Mackey Park on Saturday 2nd April at 6pm.
