Our Junior A Football team lined out against Knockane yesterday evening in Knockane for Round 2 for the East Junior A Football League!

The lads gave it everything from the throw in and were rewarded by being four points up at half time, their lead aided by a super Tristan O’Sullivan goal!

They retained their lead throughout the second half, with super performances from David Kennedy in goal, Mike Hayes, Sean Quirke and Andrew Shanahan in defence keeping the Knockane forwards at bay.

Up with our forwards, great performances from Tristan O’Sullivan, Tony Burns, and Evan Power kept our scores ticking over. Tristan secured his and our second goal in the second half to ensure we came away with the win.

Game ended on a score line of Ahane 2-11 Knockane 1-12.

A mammoth effort from the lads and just reward for their hard work and effort throughout the last number of seasons!

Next game is fixed for Tuesday 10th May v Oola in Mackey Park at 7pm.
