Ahane took on a strong Dromcollogher Broadford side in the Division 2 football semi-final in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Thursday the 29th September. It was a clear calm evening, perfect for a game of football. This was a competitive game from beginning to end. Dromcollogher Broadford got two early goals. But Ahane never let their heads go down and clawed it back to a two points difference. We had a couple more goal chances but the ball wanted go anywhere but in the net.
